Human Service Aide

Part Time - Wage Per Contract - This is a part time position located at the Vocational Training Center in Ruff Creek, PA. The person in this position will be responsible for providing direct care to individuals with disabilities in the ADT area.

Responsibilities include:
Person must be able to lift, transfer, and feed non-ambulatory persons. Responsible to assist individuals in day programming or vocational programming with activities based on individual needs. Person must also assist individuals with daily living: such as feedings, toileting, and transfers as needed. Documentation skills and computer knowledge required.
Minimun Qualifications:
  • Accredited State High School Diploma or GED required.
  • On-line Diploma must meet the requirements of the PA Department of Education.
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
  • Must Pass Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Check Clearances.

Full Time Position (Two Group Home Locations)

Residential Program Worker - Full Time - Wage per Contract Agreement. This Full Time position offers fifteen (15) hours of one on one at the Rogersville location and twenty-five (25) hours of direct care to residents with disabilities at the Waynesburg Group Home location. Staff person will be responsible for providing direct care and positive reinforcements to one consumer with disabilities at the Rogersville site.

Responsibilities include:
Providing a clean and safe home like environment for consumers. Providing direct care and support assisting the resident to be as independent as can be. Participate as part of the interdisciplinary team, working on goals and charting progress. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual paperwork. Administer medications. Transport consumer(s) to appointments and community outings. Strong documentation skills required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Accredited State High School Diploma or GED required.
  • On-Line Diploma must meet the requirements of the PA Department of Education.
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
  • Must Pass Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Check Clearances.

Residential Program Workers

Full Time - Wage Per Contract - Residential Group home settings. The individuals in these positions will be responsible for providing direct care to persons with disabilities. Group home locations in Waynesburg and Carmichaels.

Responsibilities include:
Providing clean and safe home like environment for consumers. Provide direct care and support assisting residents to be as independent as possible. Participate as part of the interdisciplinary team, working on goals and charting progress. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual paperwork. Administer medications. Transport consumers to appointments and community outings. Hoyer Lift experience preferred and must be able to perform wheelchair transfers at the Carmichaels locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Accredited State High School Diploma or GED required.
  • On-line Diploma must meet the requirements of the PA Department of Education.
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
  • Must Pass Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Check Clearances.

Residential Program Worker (Independent Living Program)

This is a full time position responsible for providing direct care and assuring the safety of individuals in the Minimal Supervision Program.

Responsibilities include:
Schedule and coordinate medical appointments and assure all required paperwork is complete. Supervise proper meal planning and food purchases. Supervise financial transactions and payments of utilities and rent. Assure bank deposits are accurate. Assure checks are written accurately and balance is correct. Assist individuals in securing proper housing; leases; and understands contract agreements. Make regular visits to assure individuals are keeping their house/apartment clean, following the lease agreements, doing laundry on a regular basis, and are maintaining their supply of food/personal items. Respond to all crisis situations. Attend ISP meetings and reviews. Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork requirements. Attend weekly staff meetings and report to the Independent Living Supervisor. Flexibility required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities
  • OR
  • Experience in the Human Services Field.
  • State accredited high school diploma or GED required.
  • On-Line Diplomas must meet the requirements of the PA Department of Education.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must Pass Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Check Clearances.
